| Background: | In 1996 the Information Technology Department (ITD) began providing technical support services to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as part of the cooperative relationship the County established with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service provides quality, relevant outreach and continuing educational programs and services to the people residing in the County of El Paso. Services include education of County residents in the areas of agriculture, environmental stewardship, youth and adult life skills, human capital, leadership and community economic development. The County of El Paso provides space for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service at the County Extension Office located at 1380 A&M Circle in El Paso, TX., including network and internet services accessibility.
ITD seeks to formalize its continued support of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by outlining each party’s responsibilities to the information technology services being provided.
No Procurement Review required as per the County Attorney’s Office.
