| Background: | The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is the provider of medical services in the Downtown Detention Center and the Jail Annex. This Amendment would extend medical services and the contract to October 31, 2019. This Amendment includes: clarification language for physicians and healthcare providers duties; correct information related to identification of Hepatitis C patients, further defines dental services, and makes changes to attachment C which establishes contract pricing for year 4 of the agreement related to the Medical CPI. |
| Fiscal Impact: | This contract will cost a total of $7,254,559.00 ($604,546.58 Monthly) for FY2019. This cost is an increase of 2.1% based on the Medical CPI indicator for the southwest region for the prior year.
