| Subject: | Discuss and take appropriate action to approve the County of El Paso’s Continuity of Government Plan, and to delegate certain functions and responsibilities as set out in the Continuity of Government Plan to the El Paso County Chief Administrator. |
| Background: | The County of El Paso Continuity of Government (COG) Plan establishes the framework for ensuring that constitutional responsibilities will be maintained, preserved, and/or reconstituted in the event government functions become disrupted. By doing so, the COG Plan will facilitate continuation of constitutional authorities so that critical services will not be lost due to government disruptions. In recognition of the emergency management responsibilities of the jurisdiction, I hereby promulgate the County of El Paso Continuity of Government Plan. |
