Further approve the allocation of $150,000 from Storm Water Funds to fund the project. Funds are available in GF-GADM-XFER OUT. |
| Background: | During a community meeting, the residents along Mankato requested that the County perform some measures to alleviate the flooding conditions along this area of the Athena West Subdivision. The residents were willing to dedicate their right of way to the County in order for the County to construct and maintain an earthen channel to funnel the storm water into the drain.
The channel would consist of a 10 foot bottom trapezoidal channel with side maintenance access dirt roads. If approved, this portion of the properties will be accepted as part of the County’s Arroyo right of way assets to be maintained as other similar arroyo parcels. Once constructed this portion of the arroyo shall be scheduled into the regular maintenance plan of the County’s Storm water responsibilities. |
