Due to the limited amount of water received from surface irrigation rights, ground water is pumped to supplement the irrigation needed for the crops in the agricultural fields.
Currently, only the property on the east side of Shafer Road has ground water pumps to supply adequate irrigation water. Five R Enterprises, Inc. has requested a license to allow them to install two 12” irrigation water lines across Shafer Road to supply irrigation water to the agricultural property on the west side of Shafer Road.
