The County’s Anti-Harassment policy was last revised on March 26, 2018. Since this date, the following areas have been updated to allow for the most effective operation and to ensure compliance with federal regulations:
- Format changes throughout to ensure the document is user friendly.
- The process by which the external provider shall use has been updated based on practical experience.
- Overall, the policy is being generalized to address the true guidelines and expectations while the specifics shall be captured more adequately in the contract with the external provider.
These changes will allow the HR Department to expedite their service delivery when it comes to employment investigations pertaining to claims of workplace harassment, and will further help to maximize the safety and protection of our employees.
This policy was reviewed by the County Attorney's Office and presented to the Civil Service Commission for recommendation and approval on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
